THE SAGA OF THE DAEMONI
By Dorian J. Mortecai and Emily D. Menchizer
The Seventh Chapter:
Unexpected.
Maressa walked down the long corridor of the medical building. The building had only been erected recently, and was still rather primitive, with only wood floors and walls and inadequate sanitation equipment. At the end of the corridor was a large, wooden door, which was guarded by four armored Daemoni infantry. Maressa knew that what lay inside may require twice that many.
She waved the Daemoni away, and two opened the door.
Immediately, a sight besieged the eyes of the Drev woman. Inside the room were cots, lined up in neat rows along

Hunt
The woman crouched in the low light of the majestic city. She was bent over, studying intently something in the hard-packed dirt of the alley road.
Her name was Maressa, and she was tracking the beast.
She was the leader of the Drev, and the first to bear the Daemoni. None could match her in battle, and she was the best tracker in the known world.
She was looking up and down the dark road, her keen eyes picking up every detail rendered around her.
Including the very odd footprints that had started outside her royal hall, and had tracked all ar

The Fifth Chapter:
A Deadly New Race
She had been walking for several days. She didn't know how many exactly, but she knew it was long and tiring. The Drev girl of thirteen winters looked only about eight, as Drev didn't age the same as Perfects. She'd stopped to rest, out in the woods, a campfire sizzling gently in the night air. She'd fled from the Perfect's city, Stenaris. She had been a slave, and it had not been an easy task, escaping from the city; there was a curfew for Drev, they had to be indoors two hours after nightfall every day. None of the still-captive Dre
It had now been almost three weeks since I had been captured. About two and a half weeks since I found the Birthing Chamber. I was now about halfway through the gestation period of the Queen S'Tencha growing inside my womb. And, though inhuman, I was becoming very attached to the creature. Because I was giving it my life, I felt it was almost a part of me... something that depended on me.
In the two and a half weeks since discovering the Drone Birthing Chamber, I had rescued a total of about fifty host mothers, and we had pretty much formed a working society in my underground home. About ten of them had given birth, all of which I had been w

The Fourth Chapter:
My Enemy's Enemy...
Ishizema was a Perfect alchemist. She had studied everything there was to know about the transformation of raw organic material into living flesh. She had also studied all about the Drev wizard Sevdins, the inventor of the Elixir, a potion used to conceive creatures called the Daemoni. Ishizema had learned of the wizard when the only remaining troop from the latest battle between Drev and Perfect. A young woman of eighteen winters, Ishezema was brilliant, and decided to expand on Sevdin's idea of the Elixir. She had invented her ow

I looked like it was done deliberately, as if the leader of this operation had a Cortez complex; he made sure they stayed there until the job was done, just like Cortez burning his ships after landing in the New World.
I was disappointed, but I couldn't complain much. I was alive, I was safe... for the moment.

Derran McLindenburg sat in his car, cursing lightly to himself. He had been stuck in traffic for nearly four hours, making him a grand total of three and a half hours late to the set.
Derran was a special effects coordinator for the summer blockbuster Peace Keepers, an extremely anticipated action fantasy. Derran's job had been in trouble for nearly three weeks of filming, as he wasn't quite delivering results the way the studio expected.

Birthing Chambers: Episode One
Tightly I gripped my modified M-76 Pulse Rifle. I looked around me, but everywhere was dark. I felt so helpless, blinded by darkness without the nightvision goggles that had been smashed against the stone wall when my platoon and me had been ambushed.
We were on a routine scouting mission, when we spotted a potential S'Tencha hive.
The S'Tencha were insect-like aliens, bio-engineered by some far bygone race for the specific purpose of killing. After killing out this race and drifting in space for many eons, they were found by a spaceship on a deep-space cargo assignment. The poor crew inadvertently brought the alien species back to our pla

A Daemar Shunted is a Daemar Still
The woman was relieved to be out of battle for any time period, no matter how small it may be. But this time it was not a short period of time; it was nine weeks. She had borne a litter of Daemoni since then, and she was now carrying about twenty within her. The Daemoni that she birthed in her last battle had already grown to adult size. All but one.
This particular Daemar was still only about four feet tall, and still looked like an infant. Sevdins had never warned her that there might be runts like this.

The First Chapter:
The Beginning
The woman sat, staring at the sunset. It was a cold, crisp evening, and the sun was just beginning to make its long, twelve-hour sleep. She stood, her sparse, worn battle-armor gleaming now beautifully in the fading orange light. The armor did not cover her right leg, nor her stomach or left arm, so that it revealed the tattoo on her shoulder, and the fact that her belly was heavy with child was not hidden. The woman was beautiful herself, her crop of short hair falling in drab but delicate strands about her well-toned face. Mos

The Second Chapter: Daemoni War
The woman sat in silence in the tall tree. She looked down, in many respects, on the creatures encamped below. Turning, she saw with her excellent vision that her offspring had found their positions in the adjacent trees.
Some people - Mostly the Perfects, the so-called "normal race - would call the woman's offspring demons. This was not true in the least sense, seeing as they were neither demonic or created by a mystical force. The latter she found out after she began to give birth to the creatures, that the man who had given her the pow

I dunno if anyone's still watching this page, but this is the original owner! For anyone still here, I plan on rebooting both Saga of the Daemoni and Birthing Chambers, seeing as I've got about ten years more writing experience behind me! In addition I'll be posting pregnancy and belly related art I've been doing, possibly accompaniments to the stories. See you there!
